Alien and I (Fin)

Here's the final result on this piece. After glazing over the grisaille painting for a few layers, I basically moved on to more opaque paints with very little medium, working up the highlights again and building the form. As I was working, I wanted to liven up the background just a bit more and really give it that Alien green punch, so that's when the cracks in the molding appeared. Anyway, this was a fun one to work on and I definitely like this technique so I'm sure I'll be using it again in the future with a lot of my work. It's a very easy way to build up value contrast and hold it consistently throughout the piece. Well I hope this whole process has been at least a little informative to some. Thanks for checking it out everyone!
